Today’s cybercriminals are launching highly convincing phishing attacks designed to steal payroll funds, hijack accounts, and compromise business operations. These attacks are becoming more frequent, more sophisticated, and harder for employees to recognize.
Our DNS Protection stops threats before they ever reach you!
Cyberattacks are no longer obvious. They’re quiet, professional, and engineered to look completely legitimate. One recent payroll scam shows just how easy it is for a business to lose money — even when following the right procedures.
It started with a single email.
An employee received an attachment that appeared to be work-related. When they opened it, they were redirected to a fake Microsoft login page that looked 100% real. Thinking nothing of it, they entered their username and password.
That one action opened the door.
Within seconds, the attacker had full access to the employee’s real email account. They immediately created hidden forwarding rules that sent every incoming message to themselves — and filtered out anything that might alert the employee. The employee continued working as usual, unaware that someone else had silently taken control of their inbox.
A few days later, the hacker struck.
HR received an email from the employee’s legitimate account requesting a change to direct-deposit information. Following policy, HR responded to confirm the request. Minutes later, a reply came back from the same real mailbox confirming it.
From HR’s perspective, everything looked correct.
The email was real.
The confirmation was real.
The employee’s address was real.
But the employee themselves never saw either message.
On payday, the employee’s entire paycheck was deposited directly into the attacker’s bank account and was withdrawn almost immediately. By the time the company discovered what happened, the money was gone — and they had to pay the employee again out of pocket.
This wasn’t a careless mistake.
It wasn’t a lack of policy.
It wasn’t an untrained employee.
It was a sophisticated attack that exploited a single moment of trust — and a missing layer of protection.
The entire chain of events began when the employee visited a fake website that should have been blocked before it ever loaded.
This Is Exactly What WNS NetworkShield Prevents

Do you want to trust all of your employees, or design it so mistakes aren’t even possible?
Every time you enter a website URL or open a link, your device asks WNS NetworkShield DNS for the corresponding IP address.
If the domain address belongs to an advertising, tracking, malicious, or phishing website, WNS NetworkShield blocks your access to it, thus protecting you from malicious attacks or privacy breaches.
Our dashboard gives you a clear understanding of what domains get requested by each of your devices. It helps you quickly and easily block unwanted sites.

World Network Systems can configure WNS NetworkShield to block all kinds of ads — popups, video ads, banners, and annoyances. Thanks to stealthy background filtering and cosmetic processing, you see clean pages with the content you want
WNS NetworkShield DNS uses powerful filters to eliminate ads and trackers on every connected device. Trust our default filters, block domains manually, or do both: it’s up to you.

Keep your children safe online: shield them from adult content on websites, search results, or YouTube. Decide which sites should be blocked and when. For example, stop your children from using social media during their homework.

Get real-time stats on DNS requests of all devices. For each device, see to which sites it tried to connect, which requests got blocked, and when, and change DNS filtering rules on the fly. View stats by date, country, or device, or switch to a bird's eye view. running smoothly and minimizing unexpected downtime.
